Who can be apply to be a Floodplain Manager? Any person involved with, or interested in, the management of Illinois’ floodplains, wetlands and watersheds is eligible for professional certification. Most applicants are local floodplain managers, but certification is open to individuals in the private sector, state and federal government, schools and universities and other agencies or organizations dealing with floodplain and other related disciplines. |

About the Project Kentucky’s Map Modernization project incorporates the talents and resources of a number of nongovernmental agencies. The Kentucky Division of Water has enlisted the Kentucky Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the Kentucky Division of Geographic Information, the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management, the U.S. Geological Survey, the Kentucky Council of Area Development Districts, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fuller, Mossbarger, Scott, and May Engineers (FMSM), URS Corporation and the AMEC Earth and Environmental as partners in this initiative.

The Digital Map toolbar (above) is where you'll find digital map information based on your professional interest.
The Tutorial Menu (left) is where you'll find training information for a variety of programs from the National Flood Insurance Program to the Community Rating System. Also the Glossary can be used for overview of key terms and definitions.
